Future of the Lebanese Middle School Science Teaching Methods: The Importance of Teacher’s Shifting from Passive Learning to More Active Learning in Science Classes

چکیده

This study evaluated the importance of integrating active learning techniques in to Lebanese middle school science classes. It examined effect this modification on students' academic performance and social development .The researcher collected data by using mixed method approach referred as sequential explanatory design where research both quantitative qualitative data. The was distributing questionnaire developed based 5 point Likert- scale a non-probability convenience sample (N=50) teachers performing an online interview with four teachers. used Statistical Package for sciences program (SPSS) analyze answer studied hypothesis problematic three tests (a) one T-test, (b) way Manova test, (c) correlation test. analyzed qualitatively findings showed that there is significant teachers’ shifting from passive more classes, are modifying their teaching methods classes improve development, teachers' perspective.
